“…sharply written solo debut…grounds in visceral restlessness and vivid imagery…as Charles croons between Tom Petty’s laidback rock and Jay Farrar’s drawn out loneliness.” – The Austin Chronicle

“…multi-talented singer-songwriter Evan Charles…is making it look easy…he may be Between Two Worlds at the moment, but the magical power of the album will no doubt open fresh opportunities.” – The JW Vibe

Austin, TX – Following the release of his debut solo album, Between Two Worlds, Austin-based singer-songwriter Evan Charles is gearing up to release his sophomore solo effort, Echoes at Dawn. After charting #5 on the Alt Country Specialty Chart and #109 on the AMA Americana Albums with his debut record, Charles explores new territory with his follow-up LP. Echoes at Dawn delves into the cosmic realm of Americana, showcasing the earnest songwriting roots from Charles’ first campaign while brushing shoulders with the experimental.

Standout tracks “Lost in the Dark” and “Trouble Girl” juxtapose Petty-inspired vocals and guitars with dreamy, melodic synth riffs, while ballad “Price of Love” seamlessly blends classic country instrumentation with elements of modern pop production. Co-produced by Jonas Wilson (formerly Heartless Bastards) and Ricky Ray Jackson (currently of Phosphorescent and recently of Steve Earle and the Dukes), Echoes at Dawn finds Charles at his most daring and downright finest, creating a sound that can only be defined as distinctly Austin.
